When choosing a renovation contractor for your next remodeling project use the first one or two meetings to check out how he stacks up against the following 8 criterion, if he doesn't - drop him and go on to the next one.  Don't let empty words and promises fool you.

1. Reputation

The renovation contractor's reputation is very important.
